De Bruyne: "Maybe we can win the title with 85 points"

City star Kevin de Bruyne believes that his club will not need 2018/19 points to win next season.

Manchester City and coach Pep Guardiola have won the English championship twice in a row. In the 2017/18 season, the team won the title with 100 points, but in the following season, there were 98 points left. Kevin de Bruyne thinks that City don't need to score so many points this season to win the title.
"We don't need to beat the last two seasons, maybe we can win the title this year with 85 points," de Bruyne told Sky UK. He explained that the team did not need to improve, but that good performance must be constantly called upon. "It's not about improvement, but about staying consistent, trying to be in every match and winning every match."

De Bruyne: "Did nothing for three weeks"

He is well aware that Manchester City cannot win every year what he has achieved in the last two years - a total score of 198 points!

De Bruyne, who was injured last season, used the summer vacation to do nothing and recover. "I haven't done anything for three weeks, I just want to leave football."

Because of the 2018 World Cup, the Belgian international has had a little rest and free time between the last two seasons and has played two years in a row. "Physically, it can go away, but mentally, it consumes you, so I realized that it was necessary to slow down a little and finish the pre-season again."
