Edit
Corey Dickerson may have had his best match in two seasons as a member of the Pirates on Tuesday night, and that could mean he soon became a former pirate.
Dickerson returned to the starting line-up after missing three games with a tense left back and three against four with two home runs and five high-scoring careers, leading the Pirates to an 11-4 victory over the Reds.
The trading deadline is Wednesday at 4 pm Just in time, Dickerson made a good impression about the lookouts at the Great American Ball Park.
Dickerson qualified for a free agent at the end of the season and the Pirates had no intention of sending him away. Because of this, he seems to be a candidate to be traded.
Speaking in his locker after the match, Dickerson admitted that it was difficult to completely block rumors of trade circles during this season:
However, Dickerson also said his goal Tuesday night was only to play again and help the Pirates end a nine-game losing streak in a season.
"I am happy to be back with my teammates playing games that we all like and compete with," Dickerson said. "It's always nice to go out."
Dickerson scored from Lucas Sims in round five and a solo shot by Robert Stephenson in the seventh.
Dickerson has not been the subject of many commercial rumors. Because it is difficult to say whether it really will be exchanged. Although there were limits to 43 matches, mainly due to a shoulder injury, he had a good season, beating 0.317 / 0.376 / 0.555 with four home runs.
Dickerson's performance was defeated by the ninth inning with five players released.
"There are lots of chirps," Dickerson said about the fight. "Injuries are less serious - showing that everyone needs to see, when you don't participate, you let your guard down, you just need to protect your people, there are always two sides, one of the best I've never seen."
