Premier League Top Scores Named Slouchy This Makes Problems in Malaysia

The highest score in the English League in the name of a woman has caused problems when broadcasting live football in Malaysia and Singapore.

As we mentioned before, one of the best scores in the English Premier League, Teemu Pukki, has an unfriendly name in the ears of the people of North Sumatra. But apparently not only in the Batak language, the name Pukki means female genitals. In Malay too.

The sportbible.com page reports that the former Liverpool striker who is now a football broadcast reporter for the Astro Stadium channel in Malaysia, Stan Collymore, accidentally discovered this at a meeting with his boss. In a recent post on Twitter, he detailed a conversation with the head of TV where he worked:

"So, I'm in Kuala Lumpur with a production meeting with the team.‘ Stan, do you know about the Pukki situation in Malaysia? "
"No, what is that?"
"Err, Pukki is becoming a weekly trend now in Malaysia ..."
"Why?"



This was confirmed by another Twitter user who walked through Kuala Lumpur wearing the number 22 top of the English league and found everyone smiling seeing the name behind his shirt.

The same thing happened with Malay language users in Singapore. Whatever it was, Teemu Pukki had succeeded in silencing the mouth of all who doubted it. He has scored five goals and one assist in his first four matches in the Premier League. The five goals were scored in sequence as follows:

A goal in a 4-1 defeat to Norwich City at home against Liverpool on 9 August
Three goals when Norwich received Newcastle 3-1 on 17 August
A goal and an assist when Norwich lost 2-3 to Chelsea on 24 August

In all four Premier League matches, Pukki played 90 minutes, except in the opening match when he retired seven minutes before the long whistle sounded. Now Pukki is replaced by Sergio Agüero from the highest scoring position in the English League. The top scorer in the Premier League is occupied by Manchester City strikers with six goals, then Pukki and Raheem Sterling are second with five goals each.

Full name Teemu Eino Antero Pukki is a 29-year-old Finnish soccer player who played for Sevilla and Schalke 04 before playing for Norwich in 2018. The excitement about female genitalia coincided with a stir at an accounting request under the name Kontool from Germany.

In 10 days from now, the international break will end and Norwich City will receive Manchester City at home. Pep Guardiola's open squad will make Stan Collymore shout again: "PUKKKIIII'S GOAL!" Throughout Malaysia.
