Statement of João Cancelo's problems over Pep Guardiola's Champions League

Manchester City's back wing, João Cancelo, disagrees with Pep Guardiola's statement on the Cityzens Opportunities from the Champions League. According to Cancelo, the city has become one of the teams that can win the title this season in Europe.

In the eyes of Guardiola, Manchester City does not deserve to be European champion. "People say that our goal is the Champions League. But we are not ready," Pep Guardiola was quoted as saying by Soccerway.

That was not felt by João Cancelo. Winning the Champions League is one reason to accept Cancelo City's proposal in the transfer market last summer.

"I came here to win the Champions League. Juventus also have the same ambition. However, Manchester City has a style of play that is more suitable for me," Cancelo was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

"Manchester City is a team that can win the Champions League this season. I think that is no doubt. The same can be said for Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid," Cancelo added.

Cancelo optimism seems baseless. Because Cityzens started working they succeeded in the Champions League this season with two wins over Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk. The next morning, they will try to continue the positive trend when host Atalanta at the Etihad Stadium.
