pillar of Croatian national team midfielder Ivan Rakitic, said he was ready to leave Barcelona if he didn't get regular playing minutes. He claimed not to want to join Barcelona if he did not play.

In the transfer market last summer, Rakitic reportedly left the Nou Camp. The presence of young midfielder, Frenkie de Jong is suspected to be the main cause of Rakitic wanting to leave Barcelona.

"I want to play and I don't want to be part of the Barcelona team. I will do my best to get out of this problem as soon as possible," Ivan Rakitic was quoted as saying by the Diario Sport page.

"I still have two years left on the contract with Barcelona. In addition, I also think that if there is a career there is no better place here. But I want to play and don't want to spend time walking around," Rakitic added.

To smooth out his mission, Rakitic said he had spoken with several officials from Barcelona. It also awaits the outcome of talks being able to change the wealth of all Azulgranas at least until the end of the 2019-20 season.

"I spoke with several club officials. I want them to think I am ready to participate and show my best ability if given the opportunity. But, if there is no change, we must return to talk and start discussing my future," said Rakitic.
