Watford Become the First Team to Make a Coach Change
Bad start for Watford in the Premier League this season has been a big disaster for his coach, Javi Gracia. On Sunday (8/9), IWST decided to fire Gracia and all of her trainers.
Of the four parties that have acted in the Premier League this season, Watford can only achieve a draw and three defeats. Bad record makes Troy Deeney et al have to sit at the bottom of the standings with a collection of points.
"Javi Gracia has shown great dignity in handling Watford and we will always appreciate the achievement of greatness for Watford," said The Hornets CEO Scott Duxbury on the club's official website.
The Hornets quickly found a replacement for Gracia. About 30 minutes after the announcement of the sacking of Gracia, Quiquie Watforrd Sanchez Flores immediately announced his return to Vicarage Road.
Sanchez Flores is no stranger to Watford fans. The 54-year-old coach fought the Hornets in the 2015-16 season. At that time, he had to lose his job when he managed to move the Hornets to the FA Cup semifinals and finish in the middle of the Premier League.
Later this week, Sanchez Flores will be the first test subject with Troy Deeney et al in the Premier League for up to five weeks. They will host a tough team, Arsenal, on Vicarage Road.
