Together with Conte, Sanchez is staying to find his best performance
Former Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin is optimistic that Antonio Conte will bring Alexis Sanchez back to his best at Inter Milan this season. Is it true?
Sanchez became a prisoner after deciding to leave Arsenal for Manchester United in January 2018. Encouraged by star players from The Gunner, Sanchez faded when he played at Old Trafford.
Imagine, from a total of 45 matches that he played at MU, Sanchez was only able to score five goals. His name is then widely mentioned in the list of sales clubs nicknamed The Red Devils.
Sanchez was finally released from United last summer. The Chilean is anchored to Inter Milan on loan until the end of next season. Guidolin thinks Sanchez can find the best.
"In my opinion, between living in Barcelona and the first years at Arsenal, Sanchez is one of the ten top players in the world and with Conte, he will return to that level," Guidolin told Tuttosport.
In addition, Guidolin saw that Sanchez was a player needed for Inter at the moment. He is also optimistic that the 30-year-old can help the club realize its full potential in the future. "He is a non-Inter player because he is a very talented player to play between the lines," he continued.
"He knows how to beat his opponents, knows how to talk to his team-mates and help them too. He is a player in his own way but had to find his best performance a few years ago.
"Sanchez can do anything, he also plays behind two attackers or even as a midfielder, and for me, 3-5-2 is the ideal system for him.
Sanchez himself still hasn't made a debut with Inter. This is after the players must recover after participating in the Copa America yesterday.
