Tempted to return to Manchester United, Van der Sar refused

Manchester - Edwin van der Sar dismissed rumors that he would return to Manchester United. Van der Sar is still loyal to his position as CEO of Ajax Amsterdam.

"Not (interested in returning to MU), I am concentrating on working as managing director of Ajax," Van der Sar told Sportskeeda.

"We had a fantastic season in Europe yesterday, then we also won in the Netherlands," he continued.


"We want to make Ajax a higher level in Europe and make sure we return to the elite, that's what we are working on."

Van der Sar strengthened MU from 2005 to 2011 with 266 appearances and gave four Premier League and Champions League titles.

"I enjoyed Ajax, we reached the highest level last season and we have to make sure we continue to be there," he said.
