Sterling will replace Messi-Ronaldo

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Raheem Sterling can become the best player in the world, like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Sterling is burning. He has scored eight goals in his last four appearances in England and Manchester City.

Finally, the 24-year-old scored when England defeated Kosovo 5-3 in the 2020 European Cup qualifiers on Wednesday (9/11).

"I have seen this since the international break that Sterling is England's best player and he is much more than that." "He is now among the five or six of the best offensive players in the world, in this group under Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo," Carragher told The Telegraph newspaper.

"I recently wrote that he and Sadio Mane are the best left wing in the region, and I now think Sterling is above Neymar.

"His ambition, with Kylian Mbappe, must fill the void after the end of the Messi and Ronaldo era. He is a potential winner of the Ballon d'Or for the next four or five years, just as he is currently a world superstar."

"I would say there are similarities with the development of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United," added Carragher.
