Real Madrid's mistake in the summer transfer market

It is estimated that Real Madrid failed to maximize the 2019 summer transfer slot. At least eight mistakes were made by Madrid.

Many people doubt that Madrid can compete for the title this season. According to Marca, Madrid made eight mistakes.

1. There is no revolution

Madrid urged to revise before the 2019/2020 season. Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane wanted it, but that didn't happen. Madrid only recruited one star and his team did not develop.

2. Excessive expenditure

Madrid invested a lot this summer. However, 305 million euros have been spent on bringing in players who are mostly not elite players.

3. Sell players to the village

Zidane previously had Marcos Llorente, Sergio Reguilon, Mario Hermoso, Martin Odegaard and Pablo Sarabia. However, they all left, permanently or on loans, at low prices.

4. Madrid did not recruit Zidane's main goal

Zidane indicated that Paul Pogba would be recruited this summer. The France coach really wants to make Pogba the center of his team's game, but the players remain at Manchester United. After failing to issue Pogba, Madrid also has not provided an alternative.

5. Madrid does not sell James Rodriguez and Bale

Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez are not part of Zidane's plans for the 2019/20 season. However, both will still survive at the Santiago Bernabeu, even if the coach does not want it. Now, Zidane must be able to use both. At least Bale succeeded after bagging two goals and assisting in three appearances.

6. Unequal teams

In the absence of a central midfielder, Madrid became less balanced after only four players in running: Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Fede Valverde.

7. Without Casemiro cover

The absence of new players at his post forced Casemiro to work hard and avoid injury throughout the season. Without Llorente, Casemiro's physical form and appearance are more important than ever before.

8. Without the top in the middle of the back

Duo Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane have made Madrid a huge success, especially in the last five years. However, no other player can make the competition at the heart of the defense other than Eder Militao. Although Madrid may need more centralized options.
