Mane Two Goals, Liverpool defeated Newcastle 2-1 in round I
Liverpool - Liverpool closed the first round against Newcastle United with a 2-1 advantage. Coming from behind, Sadio Mane's two goals evoked the Reds.
Newcastle surprised Liverpool when they opened the scoring in the seventh minute. The counterattack allowed Christian Atsu to storm Liverpool's defense.
He then passes the ball to the left side which is filled by Jetro Willems. Willems did better than Trent-Alexander Arnold before he fired a free kick in the upper left corner of Adrian's goal.
The goal made Liverpool jump and they then tried to answer by Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain in the 11th minute, but the ball was still too wide.
Chamberlain created the opportunity in the 17th minute by sending a center led by Sadio Mane. Unfortunately, the ball is still wide.
Liverpool's attempt to equalize the final score in the 28th minute in the first shot on goal. Starting from the pass on the left side occupied by Robertson, once again sent to Mane.
