Liverpool Include Teenagers 16 Years in the 2019-20 Champions League Squad

Defending champions Liverpool have announced their squad for the 2019-20 Champions League season. This squad has not changed much compared to last season.

Famous names such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, to Alisson Becker certainly still adorn Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool squad.

The interesting thing about this squad is the inclusion of the name of young winger Harvey Elliott. The new 16-year-old was signed by Liverpool from Fulham at the end of July.

In addition, another new recruiter who is also still young, Sepp van den Berg joined in this squad. Van den Berg was recruited from PEC Zwolle at a cost of £ 1.3 million.

Another name that is also included in the squad is Dejan Lovren. Previously, the Croatian defender had reportedly left Anfield after receiving an offer from Serie A teams.

In the end, Lovren canceled his move. Klopp also put the name of the 30-year-old defender into the Champions League squad this season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's mainstay in the right-back sector, Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the B list which is intended for players born above 1 January 1998 and has played for the club for two consecutive years since he was 15 years old.

Here's Liverpool's squad for the 2019-20 Champions League group phase in full:

List A: Alisson, Elliott, Firmino, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Keita, Lallana, Lonergan, Lovren, Mane, Matip, Milner, Origi, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Robertson, Adrian, Shaqiri, Fabinho, Van den Berg, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum.

List B: Alexander-Arnold, Brewster, Jones, Kane, Kelleher, Larouci, Lewis.

In the group phase itself, Liverpool joined Group E with Napoli, Salzburg and Genk.
