Klopp: Let's hope Dortmund win the German League again, Bayern continue to get bored
Juergen Klopp believes that Bayern Munich is getting stronger with the arrival of Philippe Coutinho. But he hopes that Borussia Dortmund will still be able to stop Bayern's dominance.
Bayern have won the last seven Bundesliga seasons. To maintain his dominant position and continue the Champions League trophy, Die Roten has recruited a number of top players this year.
Coutinho is one of them, along with Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez and Ivan Perisic. The 27-year-old has been loaned to Barcelona with a permanent option of 120 million euros at the end of the season.
As Coutinho's former coach at Liverpool, Klopp has no doubt that the Brazilian midfielder will make Bayern more resilient. But as a Dortmund supporter, he hopes Bayern's dominance can be stopped this season.
"Obviously, Coutinho's arrival isn't very good for Dortmund, and I hope Dortmund will win the title again because it's boring every year for champions Bayern," Klopp said.
"But Dortmund have an extraordinary team, other teams like Leverkusen and Gladbach / Leipzig are also interesting and a lot of things can happen," said the man who led Dortmund twice to become Bundesliga champions.
Dortmund is currently in fifth place with six points in three matches. Jadon Sancho and his colleagues are three points behind RB Leipzig, who is always perfect.
