Germany finally found their way after defeating Northern Ireland 2-0 in the fifth match of Group C of Euro 2020 on Tuesday (09/10/2019). This victory was welcomed with joy by coach Joachim Loew.

Marcel Halstenberg and Serge Gnabry scored two German goals in the second half. Despite winning, Joachim Loew admitted that his adopted children had difficulty serving the Northern Ireland game.

Even so, he was pleased with the final results on the dashboard. The coach also highlighted the appearance of Serge Gnabry who hasn't stopped scoring goals. According to him, the presence of players from Bayern Munich greatly influenced the appearance of Der Panzer this time.

"We played under pressure because Northern Ireland played very brave, they played in a high enough zone, our possession of the ball in the first half was also very limited, but we could improve it in the second round by playing more vertically," said Loew, reported on the team's official website, Tuesday (09/10/2019).

"Serge Gnabry is amazing, important for us now, he can hold the ball with every attack and include other players. His technical skills are above average," he added.

One of Serge Gnabry's goals is also his fifth goal in five consecutive matches with the German national team. In Northern Ireland, with three points, Der Panzer leads in Group C with 12 points.
