The Blues star had "accepted personal terms" before a planned transfer to Bayern, after Lampard persuaded him to continue playing at Stamford Bridge.

So far this season, Hudsoi-Odoi has not appeared for Frank Lampard's team after the Achilles tendon broke in a match against Burnley in April.

Despite his setbacks, Bayern are back for the young English winger this summer. Previously, the Blues had rejected three offers submitted by the Bundesliga giant in the January transfer window.

Now, Hudson-Odoi has agreed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge which is estimated to be around £ 100,000 per week.

Athletic, revealed by Express, Hudson-Odoi agreed to reach a personal agreement with Bayern Munich before the transfer stopped. The director of Bundesliga giants Hasan Salihamidzic is very open about the club's interest in the 18-year-old.

Now, the Bosnian man admits that he feels sorry for the way he persecuted Hudson-Odoi. "There is a reason why we are looking for a Hudson-Odoi transfer this way," Salihamidzic said.

"But I am critical enough to admit that we can keep players better," he said.

Bayern are chasing Chelsea stars after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are nearing the end of their contract at the Allianz Arena. The two veterans have now left Bayern.

Both players have been a pillar of Bayern so far, and now they must be replaced. Salihamidzic was asked about Bayern withdrawing from the possibility of bringing Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic until the European transfer market was closed.
