Entrust Frenkie De Jong about the difficult start in Barcelona
Frenkie De Jong revealed encouragement. The new Barcelona midfielder has admitted that he has not performed optimally in the El Blaugrana group this season.
De Jong himself officially became a Barcelona player this summer. It was bought at Ajax Amsterdam for 75 million euros.
So far, Ernesto Valverde has often played against De Jong in the Barca team. But he failed to make the impact of his team after the Catalans only won one of their first three matches in La Liga.
De Jong claimed not to play optimally in the Barcelona squad. "I think everything went well during our pre-season," De Jong told De Telegraaf.

De Jong also revealed why he did not play optimally with Barca. He considers that he still hasn't found the right step with the new club.
"I have to admit that I haven't played well in our competitive matches so far."
"The style of play at this club is very different from the style of play I usually play. I don't really touch the ball when I play against Real Betis, although I often get used to touching the ball."

De Jong also confirmed that he would not allow his poor performance to continue in El Blaugrana's forces.
The midfielder promised to work hard to improve his performance with the defending champions La Liga.
"People are panicking in my current situation, but I am not, I know I can contribute more to the game, I know I can play more dominating, so I am not bothered by my bad game." he said.
