Barcelona Still Chance to Release Rakitic to Juventus

Barcelona will prepare various comments for Juventus next January, related to the desire of the Italian giants to bring Ivan Rakitic.

It was reported that Juve reached a personal agreement with Rakitic this summer. However, they cannot complete the transfer details until the European transfer market closed last Monday (2/9).

According to the Tuttosport report reported by the Daily Mail, Juventus promised to return in January 2020 when the transfer window reopens and Rakitic is expected to complete the winter transfer early next year.

It was reported that Rakitic's transfer to the J-Stadium failed because Juventus refused to exchange players, between the 31-year-old Croatian and Federico Bernardeschi.

Rakitic joined Barcelona from Seville in 2014, and has participated in the presentation of four La Liga championship trophies and one Champions League trophy in his name, since he grazed at Camp Nou.

However, apparently, Rakitic began to consider his career at Camp Nou after the club brought Frenkie de Jong and Arthur.

Previously, Rakitic never appeared as a starter for Barça in the 2019/20 season. He was later mentioned that he could join Juve at the last minute of the European transfer market last Monday (2/9).

Initially, the Catalan giant hoped to use Rakitic as a sweetener in a transfer agreement for Neymar at Camp Nou. However, it is certain that the Brazilian star will cancel his return to Camp Nou and wait for next year, but it is widely reported that Rakitic will leave.

Rakitic refused to move to PSG as part of the agreement. But he is considered open to joining Juventus, because the Italian Serie A champions showed great interest in the 31-year-old midfielder.

At present, Barcelona has too many players in the midfield of his squad and is willing to take off Rakitic. Currently, Ernesto Valverde has seven midfielders for three positions in the midfield of his squad.
