Bartomeu Talks About the Future of Messi with Barcelona

- Barcelona star Lionel Messi has the option to decide on a deal at Camp Nou starting in June 2020. In other words, the Argentine bloody player can freely negotiate with other clubs starting next January.

It should be noted that Messi has had 15 seasons at Barcelona. He recorded 687 matches with a contribution of 603 goals. Messi won 34 trophies.

Messi's contract with Barcelona will expire in 2021. However, in the player contract clause, there is a right to leave for free if the bond duration expires two years.

Nevertheless, the Barcelona president, Josep Bartomeu, reacted casually. Bartomeu said he was confident that the player nicknamed La Pulga would live in Barcelona.

"We have the same situation as Xavi Hernandez, who went to Qatar, Andrés Iniesta, who signed with Kobe and Carles Puyol, who had to retire with injury, but who gave us everything and who has the opportunity to survive in the long run," Bartomeu said, quote from the page Football Spain, Saturday (07/09/2019).

"I am very relaxed as president because Leo (Messi) wants to stay here and I have no doubt he will be at the club after 2021," he said.
