Approve New Contract at Liverpool, Salary Virgil van Dijk Soars
Virgil van Dijk has agreed a fantastic new contract with Liverpool. The Dutch defender will stay at Anfield until 2025.
According to a report reported by Mirror on Sunday, the defender, who was recently named the European Footballer of the Year, decided to make a long-term commitment with the Anfield-based club after the final details regarding the six-year contract were finally completed last week.
Van Dijk's contract negotiations have taken place this summer, but a number of sources in the Netherlands have confirmed that the player will remain on Merseyside after the two sides have successfully completed talks.

The current Van Dijk contract will expire in 2023 after his move from Southampton with a value of 75 million pounds sterling 20 months ago.
This new contract will make him pocket a salary of 200,000 pounds sterling (around Rp. 3.43 billion) per week, far higher than his current salary of 125,000 pounds (around Rp 2.16 billion).
