Eric Gordon Wants to Retire at the Houston Rockets
Eric Gordon signs a new contract with the Houston Rockets. It will remain at least until 2023-2024. Gordon wants to spend time with the Rockets. He even plans to retire there. Especially considering his age is not young anymore.
Gordon will be 31 in December 2019. This means that when his contract expires in 2024, he will be 36 years old. The Rockets' top goalkeeper won't be old enough to make another big contract. This four-year contract could be his last collaboration.
Gordon agreed to sign a four-year, $ 76 summer contract. However, the final year of the contract is not guaranteed. So Gordon must join the All-Star ranks or bring the Rockets champions if you want to get the rest of the contract last year. Its value reaches 20.9 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, Gordon has proven himself able to contribute to the Rockets. They always enter the playoffs with the help of players. Since arriving in 2016, the Rockets have not missed the regular post-season round.
Unfortunately, during this period, Gordon still hasn't sent the Rockets to the NBA Finals. They found the Golden State Warriors who had dominated the league for five years. However, this opportunity can change in 2019-2020. The Rockets are developing their new team with additional strength from Russell Westbrook.
Aside from Westbrook, the Rockets still have James Harden. The best player in the 2018 NBA will help the team play at a higher level. Likewise, Gordon has just signed a new contract. Three plans to collaborate with other players to make the Rockets stronger than last season.
Gordon and Harden even resigned from the US national team in August. They refused to attend training camps in anticipation of the 2019 World Cup. Gordon and Harden only wanted to focus on the Rockets to face the NBA next season.
For Rockets, both players have good attack skills. Gordon and Harden can play behind the tripoin line to win points from a distance. Gordon can even survive to defend the Rockets ring. He is one of the mainstays of the Houston team's defense.
