Trippier: Simeone Is Not Like My Previous Coach
Kieran Trippier immediately followed the schedule to play Atletico Madrid this season. The player who defended Tottenham Hotspur last season is still filled with three matches played by adopted children Diego Simeone in the league.
Trippier said that one of Atletico's top success factors was the coach's ability to formulate a strategy. He said, Simeone had a different approach from his coach in the past.
"I feel like I'm growing fast with the defense system that he is implementing here, it's amazing, I'm only here for two months, but I've learned a lot. Diego is very comfortable with who to work for," Marca said.
The start of Trippier went very well. He immediately donated a pass for a goal scored by Alvaro Morata when he defeated Getafe. So far, his role in the first team has not been replaced. He was able to fill the post left by Juanfran.
"Diego is very different from the coach who treated me in the past, and on top of that, other teammates also made me feel comfortable here, so I bought a house here because I feel more comfortable, that's important," he repeated.
After the international break, Atletico Madrid will go to Real Sociedad's headquarters on September 14, 2019. Five days later, Rojiblancos will soon play the inaugural Champions League match.
