Doha - FIFA has officially launched the 2022 World Cup logo. The World Cup logo, which will be held in Qatar, is full of Arabic nuances.

The launch of the 2022 World Cup logo was held in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday (9/9/2019), local time. Thousands of spectators attended the logo launch projected on a number of symbol buildings in Qatar, such as the Burj Doha and the Katara cultural village amphitheater.

A number of major cities in several countries also celebrated the launch of the 2022 World Cup logo. Images of the logo were seen in famous places and on billboards in Buenos Aires, London, Johannesburg, Madrid and Seoul.
In general, the 2022 World Cup logo is in the form of eight which represents the number of stadiums that will be used during the tournament. The logo also looks like a World Cup trophy.

"This symbol symbolizes the vision of the event that connects and engages the whole world, also displays striking elements of local and regional Arabic culture and is also a metaphor for a beautiful game," FIFA said on its official website

As mentioned by FIFA, the 2022 World Cup logo has an Arabic feel. The arch on the logo symbolizes the towering sand dunes.

The main shape of the logo is also inspired by traditional Arab scarves. Shawl is identical to winter, according to the World Cup month of 2022 which takes place in November-December.

The flower pattern at the bottom of the logo symbolizes the wealth of traditional Middle Eastern art. Above is a picture of a bullet flanked by two dots which is one of the symbols of the Arabic alphabet.

Meanwhile, the type of font used to complete the logo is inspired by Arabic calligraphy with a modern twist.

The 2022 World Cup will take place from November 21 to December 18.
