This caused MU to lag behind Mourinho's version of Liverpool and Manchester City

Former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho revealed why United struggled to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City. Mourinho said that the MU club's structure, full of business people, made their development difficult.

Manchester United, known as the ruler of England for the past two decades, has reduced its achievements. They haven't won an EPL title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

When United sank, its two rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City, even saw a remarkable increase. City have won EPL two seasons in a row, while Liverpool won the Champions League last season.

Mourinho thinks there is a reason why United are struggling to make up for the two rivals. "I think this is because of the structure of the two clubs," Mourinho told The Telegraph newspaper.

An idea
According to Mourinho, City have become a difficult team to conquer because there is a shared vision between the coaching team and the player recruitment team.

"Let's take City as an example: their owners, Ferran Soriano, Txiki Bergiristain, Pep Guardiola, Pep staff and their players."

"You can see harmony, empathy, chemistry, the quality and similarity of ideas, and the same understanding of the project they are building."

Full support

While Mourinho believes that Klopp can succeed at Liverpool because he enjoys the full support of the Liverpool owner.

"Liverpool, I think Jurgen is in a good position, he has stability in his team and he is clearly in control of his zone."

"He has the support of people who share his understanding, and the structure of his club also supports him." he said.

MU condition

While Manchester United themselves at this time their transfer policy is controlled by Ed Woodward, who is seen by many as not understanding football.

It is said that United will look for a sporting director, but so far the plan has not been clarified.
