The Napoli Legend Claims Lukaku Is Greater Than Icardi

Antonio Careca, a Napoli legend, argues that Romelu Lukaku is stronger than Mauro Icardi, so Inter Milan is known for doing good business in the 2019 summer transfer market. Careca also thinks that Icardi is not a phenomenal type of player who can make changes in matches.

Inter lent Icardi for the 2019-2020 season to Paris Saint Germain for five million euros. There is a fixed purchase option at the end of this season that can be activated by PSG by adding 65 million euros (1.02 billion rupees). Thus, in total, Inter received 70 million euros from PSG.

Icardi's defeat was not a big problem for Inter because Beneamata - Inter's nickname - Lukaku had just arrived from Manchester United at the start of the season. Lukaku replaces Icardi who, since last season, has been involved in an internal conflict with Inter.


Lukaku has also shown value for 65 million euros, or around 8 billion rupees from Inter, with two goals contributed to the second week of the Italian League this season. Lukaku's first goal was scored against Lecce when Inter won 4-0. Then, Lukaku's second goal was marked by a white point, which allowed Inter to win 2-1 at home against Cagliari.

The Argentine (Icardi) is a good striker, but not phenomenal. I think Lukaku is a better player. I just don't think Icardi can make a difference, "Careca said, quoting Italian Football on Monday (9/9/2019).

Lukaku's contribution so far has been quite positive for Inter. It is therefore estimated that Icardi's departure will have little impact. Nevertheless, Lukaku still has an obligation to prove that his sharpness will be constant until the end of this season.
