Mkhitaryan stressed that joining AS Roma was not a setback

Armenian footballer Henrikh Mkhitaryan revealed that leaving Arsenal to join AS Roma was not a setback.

Mkhitaryan arrived at Arsenal during the winter transfer in January 2018. The former Borussia Dortmund became a Manchester United trading facility recruiting Alexis Sanchez.

Since arriving at Arsenal, Mkhitaryan has failed to show consistent performance. So, the Gunners then bring in the best players of the 2019 summer transfer market, Nicolas Pepe.

As a result, Henrikh Mkhitaryan's position with London Cannon gradually changed in the first team. This made Unai Emery release the 30-year-old soccer player to AS Roma.

Although banned in Italy, Mkhitaryan stressed that it was not a step back for him. He is determined to fight and defend his new club.

"Now, I'm in AS Roma and I'm concentrating on Serie A. Italy. This is not a step back, because we play big football here, I have to like playing football wherever I am," Mkhitaryan was quoted as saying by Calciomercato.

Mkhitaryan later said later that he was not afraid of the pressure that would be put on Capital Wolf's defense. Because Mkhitaryan himself has experience in defending big teams like Dortmund, Manchester United and finally Arsenal.
