MU's decision confused ESPN FC analyst Mark Ogden. He knew that Solskjer wanted to create a better youth team, but young players still needed senior players.

Removing two attackers like Lukaku and Sanchez without using a replacement is very risky. Ogden felt that Solskjaer had made a serious mistake.

"Anthony Martial couldn't play against Southampton last weekend, so they only have two forwards in shape," Ogden said.

"Namely Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, who are still 17 years old. So that's the problem"

"They could have brought Mario Mandzukic to the end of the transfer market, there is an agreement with Juventus, I think it will cost only 14 million pounds," he added.


MU error

For Ogden, buying Mandzukic shouldn't make MU difficult. For some reason, Solskjaer and the club actually canceled the transfer at the last moment.

"For me, the transfer should not be difficult, yes, it is true that it is not suitable for the MU project in the future, but he is still an experienced player who can be emulated by other players," continued Ogden.

"And if you need a goal, it can be a backup plan in the last 20 minutes of the match, Mandzukic is very close to Manchester United," he said.
