Marcus Rashford: Harry Kane Made Me Better

England national team striker, Marcus Rashford claimed he did not mind having to compete with Harry Kane in the attack line of The Three Lions. Rashford said the presence of the striker made his game better from day to day.

The last two years, both Rashford and Kane have always been called to the England national team. Both became the mainstay of Gareth Southgate as the Three Lions bang.

But Rashford himself had difficulty shifting Harry Kane in the spearhead position. As a result he is mostly played on the left side of the British attack by the coach.

Rashford considered that he did not mind having to compete with Kane for the position of the spearhead of England. "We take advantage of our teammates' strengths to make us better players," Rashford was quoted as saying by Sportsmole.

Rashford rate Kane is a very good attacker, so that it encouraged him to work harder in the English training session.

"I can set an example like Harry Kane. He is one of the sharpest strikers I've ever played with."

"Every time he does a finishing exercise, I always want to be able to match him. So if he scores six goals, I also want to score six goals. If he makes seven goals, then I want to make eight goals."
Rashford also stressed that there were no conflicts in the England squad at this time. He called all the penggawa The Three Lions equally healthy to compete to become a starter.

"Even though we all compete for the same position or to play in the starter position, we really encourage each other to be better."
