Liverpool officially extend the contract with the future striker of the Premier , LiveLeague Giantrpool have announced that they have officially extended the contract of the young striker named Paul Glatzel.
On their official website, Liverpool said Glatzel has signed a new long-term contract, although it is likely the 18-year-old will lose most of the season with a knee injury.
A prolonged knee injury was obtained by Glatzel in strengthening the first team in a pre-season friendly match against Tranmere Rovers on July 1, 2019.
After officially signing a new contract with Liverpool, Glatzel could not hide his enthusiasm. Glatzel also acknowledged that this would affect the injury recovery process.
"I was disappointed to have an injury at the start of the season, but it was truly extraordinary and it showed that the club trusted me, now I can focus on my reeducation process and I return to the field." said Glatzel.
"I have been at the club for a long time and I just want to keep looking, I hope I can do it, this new agreement makes things easier," he added.
"Mentally, it is good to be able to focus on rehabilitation and know that there are people who trust me and who know that I am stronger when I get home and that I will be ready when I return to the field," he said.
Last season, Paul Glatzel captained the Liverpool U-18 team and scored 28 goals. He also led the Reds to win the FA Youth Cup and became the top scorer with eight goals.
Liverpool's decision to give Glatzel a new contract will be crucial after losing another future striker, Bobby Duncan, who chose to go to Fiorentina.
