Lend Alexis Sanchez but Still Pay His Salary
Manchester United have been criticized in an agreement to loan Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan. The decision of the 'Red Devils' to bear most of his salary is considered strange.
MU lent Sanchez to Inter this summer, with a season-long duration. There is no explanation whether Inter has the option to permanent it, but the highlight is the salary distribution agreement.
Inter as the club that borrowed reportedly only need to pay 175 thousand pounds per week, from Sanchez's total payments which reached 400 thousand pounds. While the remaining 225 thousand are paid by MU as the club's permanent owner.
This deal was highlighted by Louis Saha, a former MU striker. According to him MU suffered a great loss with this transaction.
In addition to having to pay most of the salary, the decision to lend Sanchez has made MU have a thin front line. MU practically only has Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood for not recruiting new attackers following the departure of Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
"It was a strange transfer. I think Alexis got to the point where his confidence dropped," Saha told Astro Stadium, Sportsmole reported.
"The terms of the agreement show he needs to move. He is a good player with abundant ability and passion, but he is unable to show the best for United."
"So making a deal where United are paying it is a bad deal."
