Kevin De Bruyne expressed his intention to leave Manchester City
Kevin De Bruyne plans to leave Manchester City to join Belgian football club Anderlecht.
Kevin De Bruyne actually still has a contract with Manchester City until June 2023. However, the player with number 7 has determined his future.
If his contract with Pep Guardiola's club runs out, he wants to overtake teammate Vincent Kompany to join RSC Anderlecht, a football club based in Belgium.
"I hope Kompany's career at Anderlecht will be as glorious as Manchester City," De Bruyne told The Sun.
"I advised him to find a place for me in one or seven years, after my contract ended at City," he continued.
"If he does, I will happily decide on the continuation of my career, and of course I will be missed at Manchester City (if that happens)."
Kevin De Bruyne also claimed that Vincent Kompany was the personality who inspired him to move to the Etihad stadium four years ago. Kompany contacted him several times and told him that he wanted to play together in the English league.
