Just renewing the contract, this player even wants to leave Chelsea
A new contract is not a guarantee that the player wants to stay long in one club. The Brazilian, Lucas Piazon, even wanted to leave Chelsea even though he recently signed a new contract Sodoran.
Piazon's career in Chelsea can be said to be bad. After being called a Brazilian star candidate when he was young, now his name has never been heard in the public ear.
Piazon officially anchored at Stamford Bridge in 2011, right after being carried off by the Sao Paolo youth team. But until now, he only once recorded a Chelsea uniform in the Premier League.
His career was spent more on loan players here and there. There are six clubs he has visited, and Piazon is currently anchored in the Portuguese team, Rio Ave.
Before officially leaving on loan, Lucas Piazon had extended his contract with Chelsea until 2021. However, that is not a sign that he feels at home in Chelsea's career.
When talking to A Bola, he confirmed that his career journey with the Blues was over. Although still under contract, he hopes to be anchored at another club at the end of the season.
"My time at Chelsea is over. I am 25 years old, I have been on loan several times. I have been at Chelsea since 2011 and have been a loan player throughout Europe," Piazon said.
"I am tired of playing here and there, I need a place where I can feel at home. I want to know that in July, I will return to the same place, the same house," he continued.
Generally, a player is allowed to go out on loan to look for an opportunity to play at another club. Then, when he performs nicely, the club will pull him home then make a place in the core squad.
Unfortunately that only sounds like a beautiful fairytale to Piazon. No matter how good he plays in other clubs, Chelsea have never seen him as the right material to fill his core squad.
"I have a good loan period, but I will return and then immediately loan again. There is no point in going out as a loan player, playing well, returning, not being used, and then lent again," he added.
"There was a time in your career when things didn't make sense anymore. By the way, I said that three years ago and it didn't go well at Chelsea, it created an uncomfortable situation."
