Jorge Valdano Relieved Neymar Will Not Move To Madrid

Real Madrid legend Jorge Valdano is relieved that Neymar has failed to wear Los Blancos in uniform. He is not sure Neymar can be a good influence on young Madrid players.
During the transfer market last summer Neymar was heavily reported to be leaving Paris Saint-Germain. In addition to being out of touch, Neymar and club directors are no longer harmonious.

Previously, Neymar was also disciplined in July for being absent from PSG's preseason training.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of the most favored teams to recruit Neymar. Even so, until the transfer window was closed, Neymar's status as a PSG player has not changed.

The failure to realize the Neymar transfer was a relief for Valdano. He considered the 27-year-old's character could interfere with the development of young Brazilian players in Madrid such as Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo.

"I would not like it if Neymar joined Madrid. He was a little confused about what it means to be a footballer," Valdano said, quoted from the US.

"I don't know if he can give a good influence to the young Brazilian players at Real Madrid, who certainly idolizes him," he continued.
