Athletic Bilbao Interpreter Confess has contacted one from England
Inaki Williams, Atletic Bilbao's main striker, said he was contacted by one of the English teams, Manchester United, before signing a 9-year contract with the Basque team.
According to him, United will try to contact him after the defeat of Romelu Lukaku by Inter Milan. However, this failed after Inaki signed a long-term contract. It also has a release clause of 135 million euros.
"Manchester United has contacted me, but whoever contacts, I cannot tell you," he told Cadena Ser, quoted by Onefootball. But the player has chosen to reject the offer and is ready to end his career at San Mamés.
The 25-year-old has scored 45 goals for Los Leones since his debut in 2014. Even last season, he made a productive appearance with 13 goals in 38 matches with 38 matches against Bilbao in the 2018/19 season yesterday.
He also briefly defended the Spanish national team. He really only had one match. But the chance to play in the national team is great if he is able to make an impressive performance with Los Leones.
After the international break, Inaki is ready to defend Bilbao on Friday (9/13) local time, to defend Bilbao against Real Mallorca.
