AS Roma Player of the Year vs Sassuolo: Lorenzo Pellegrini
Lorenzo Pellegrini was chosen as the best player, aka the best player in Serie A 2019-20 giornata, third between AS Roma and Sassuolo at the Olimpico on Sunday (09/15/2019).

All four of Rome's winning goals were all created in the first half, each through the actions of Bryan Cristante, Edin Dzeko, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Justin Kluivert.

Sassuolo himself managed to reduce the lag thanks to two goals scored by Domenico Berardi in the second half. Unfortunately, Sassuolo could not avoid defeat.

With this victory, Rome has the right to move up to seventh overall with 5 points, while Sassuolo is ranked 15th with 3 points.

Pellegrini Assist hat trick

Although not registering his name on the scoreboard, Pellegrini looked crazy making a hat trick aka three assists.

Three assists each were created by Pellegrini for the purposes of Cristante, Mkhitaryan and Kluivert.

This success makes Pellegrini the first Roma player to record three assists in Serie A since Stephan El Sharaawy in a match against Pescara in April 2017.

Rome's vital figure

In the match against Sassuolo, allenatore Paulo Fonseca released Pellegrini in the 84th minute and was replaced by Javier Pastore.

Fonseca's decision made sense, because he still needed Pellegrini's strength when Roma played the opening match of the European League group stage by entertaining Istanbul Basaksehir in the middle of next week.

After entertaining Basaksehir in Istanbul, Roma will continue its action in Serie A at the end of next week by going to Bologna headquarters.
