After a 2-year Goal fasting that doesn't move from the Italian national team

Tampere - Ciro Immobile can finally breathe freely. He finished two years waiting to score again for the Italian national team.

Immobile scored in Italy's 2-1 win over Finland in the 2020 European Cup qualification on Monday (9/9/2019), early this morning. The Lazio striker opened the scoring to Italy in the 59th minute.

These goals lighten the shoulders of Immotion. Because he finally ended the goal of fasting with the national team which lasted for two years and three days.

Prior to Finland, Immobile's last goal came in the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Israel on 5 September 2017. He then spent 10 consecutive matches with Gli Azzurri without scoring.

"Do not score with this jersey really burden me," Immobile told Rai Sport.
"Much has been said for the past two years, but I remain calm and know that my time will arrive."

"People always try to spark controversy around me, including the coach, but there is no problem there," he said.
