Solskjaer Never Doubt Lingard
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, claimed never to doubt Jesse Lingard's ability. In his eyes, the 26-year-old's contribution was very positive.
Lingard has always been Solskjaer's first choice in the first three Premier League matches this season. Finally, the 26-year-old player is believed to appear since the first minute when facing Crystal Palace on Saturday (08/24/19).
Although he always won the trust of Solskjaer, Lingard failed to show his best performance. Of the three games that have been played, the original Red Devils academy player was unable to record goals or assists.
In the last match against Palace, Lingard was unable to do much. Minutes of playing Lingard in the game did not even take an hour. He was replaced by Mason Greenwood in the 51st minute.
"Jesse has never been the most prolific center forward in front of goal," Solskjaer said at Soccerway.
"If you look throughout his career, he has other attributes and Jesse's contribution this season has been fantastic for me. Since his first day in training he has shown that he is determined to stay in the team, to show me that he wants it through training and play. "
"Of course sometimes you want him to be more effective in front of goal, but he does a lot of other things. "I left him against AC Milan, he scored a goal when he came in, and he scored two days later when we played against Blackburn here," Solskjaer added.
