Pocharal regrets Zarco's decision to part with KTM

KTM Tech 3's Red Bull Team Manager, Herve Poncharal, commented on Johann Zarco's decision to part with KTM at the end of the 2019 MotoGP season. Poncharal admitted that he regretted the decision chosen by Zarco.
As is known, the relationship between Zarco and the KTM Red Bull Team finally ended some time ago. Yes, the French racer finally chose to terminate his contract with the KTM Team.
Certainty separating the road between Zarco and the KTM Team itself was announced by the Austrian manufacturer's team some time ago. Zarco's decision was chosen because he was disappointed with the speed of the KTM Team motor, namely RC16 2019.

Because in 11 races that have passed in 2019 MotoGP, Zarco himself was not able to compete with rivals. Zarco himself is still rooted to 17th place with 22 points. It was Zarco's worst position since advancing to MotoGP in 2017.

Zarco finally chose to terminate his contract with the KTM Team. That way, the French racer was ensured through the MotoGP 2020 event without acting on the track.

Poncharal who had been Zarco's superior in the Yamaha KTM Tech 3 Team also gave his views. Poncharal admitted that he was saddened by the situation experienced by Zarco and the KTM Team. But he respected his decision to separate from the KTM Team.

"Johann is one of the drivers with the best abilities and fast. He sacrificed many things in his life for the sake of MotoGP. But why did he release the manufacturer's status? I don't know, "Poncharal said, as quoted from Speedweek, Friday (6/9/2019).
