Pilmy Tammy Abraham's stories are attacked by racism: mothers cry
London - Tammy Abraham is one of the players attacked by racism this season. The young Chelsea striker claims that his mother cried to find out.
At the start of the 2019/2020 season, racist attacks on footballers emerged. Apart from two Manchester United players, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, Abraham was hit first.
The 21-year-old was attacked by racism after failing to make a penalty in the European Super Cup against Liverpool on 15 August 2019, when Chelsea lost on penalties 4-5 in the match. Abraham was harassed on social media, which apparently made his mother cry.
"I remember talking to her mother so touched she cried," Abraham told CNN International in an interview.
"He just thinks," why her. "It's not very pleasant to see his son being harassed."
"For me, I am a strong character, it does not really affect me, but it certainly concerns people who do not have people like me," he said.
Tammy Abraham performed well with Chelsea in the English Premier League 2019/2020. He scored 4 goals in his first 4 matches.
