Participating in international matches, the Real Madrid striker brought gifts

Bad news hit one of Real Madrid's fans Luka Jovic. The player who plays the striker has returned home due to injury after working with his country, Serbia.

Jovic was one of five new recruits for Real Madrid last summer. He was kidnapped from Eintrach in Frankfurt with a fairly high dowry of 60 million euros.

He must be a pillar on the front lines of the club, dubbed Los Merengues. But with the improvement in the performance of another striker, Karim Benzema, the 21-year-old is seen more often on the bench.

So far, Jovic has only played one match with initial player status, precisely when Real Madrid faced Villarreal in La Liga last week. While the other two matches, he plays as a substitute.

Jovic Luka is injured

Real Madrid's high price for doing that does not mean that Jovic automatically gets a place in the core of coach Zinedine Zidane. He must fight and wait for the moment when Benzema's performance will drop again.

Unfortunately, the fight must be postponed. Jovic was declared injured after defending Serbia against Portugal in qualifying for the 2020 European Cup on Sunday (9/9/2019).

Although Jovic did not appear long in the match. He only entered when the match took three minutes to replace senior striker Luka Milivojevic.

"In the match against Portugal, he was injured again when he joined the team and he is currently undergoing a medical examination, and he will not play on Tuesday (local time) against the team. Luxembourg," said a statement from the Serbian national team, as quoted by Goal. International.


Addition of Serbian mourning

Bad news increases Serbian sadness. The reason is that their chance to take part in the upcoming 2020 European Cup is decreasing.

Things got worse after falling in Portugal with a score of 2-4. So far, Ljubisa Tumbakovic's team has only won one of four Group B matches. They are also in fourth place with a collection of four points.

But they can still move up to third place if they manage to get three points when they meet Luxembourg Wednesday (11/09/2019). The match will take place in the opponent's seat, Stade Josy Barthel.
