Afraid of being left behind, Barcelona tempted Lionel Messi with a lifetime contract

The La Liga giant, Barcelona will tempt the star, Lionel Messi, to remain at the club with a lifetime contract offer.

Previously, it was revealed that a clause in the Messi contract allowed Argentina to leave next year.

In fact, Messi doesn't need to ask Barcelona for approval if he really wants to move. President Josep Maria Bartomeu also confirmed it.

Barcelona Offers

Messi's contract with Barcelona will end in 2021. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the two sides will not be in a hurry to start negotiating a new contract.

However, Bartomeu and Messi's father, Jorge Messi, said he continued to make intensive contact to discuss the future of the 32-year-old.

The Catalan club also offers a lifetime contract, which proves Barca's total commitment to Messi who continues to be at Camp Nou after 2021.

Lionel Messi's wish

Barcelona hopes that Messi will sign a contract that will not have an expiration time, so that he can continue to be a Blaugrana player.

Messi himself has stated his intention to graze in Argentina with his childhood club, Newell's Old Boys, before retiring.

Messi has not been present at all this season because he has not recovered from the calf injury he suffered during a training session on the first day of his summer vacation back yesterday.
