Manchester United's young players this season have become the mainstay of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team. Red Devils are willing to spend big bags to get the dream player.

One of them is Harry Maguire, who left Leicester on an 80 million pound transfer in August. Solskjaer sees the center of England again as United's future captain.

"I think he is smart, I think he came to the dressing room and became a leader, he is also a leader on the field and I am sure he cannot wait to play against his old team," he said. Solskjaer told reporters.

"Now he is here, he will be an important part of the future of this club, we have seen enough to know that he is the person we want to be, that's why we spend the money we make for him."

"He is really a character and personality who can be the captain of a big club, and in the dressing room he is a leader who has the appearance, presence, height and behavior. Character that you think you want to follow," he said.

According to Solskjaer, another Wales player, Daniel James, started the season with a fantastic performance with four goals in six matches for club and country.

"After recruiting him and chatting with [Wales chairman Ryan] Giggs, I was not surprised," he said.

"Daniel arrived and when you scored in your first appearance at Old Trafford, you gained confidence and he was great for us," he said.

"There is still a lot of work to do, he gets the X-factor with his steps, his kicks in and around the penalty area, he practices the right foot, left foot and he will score more goals."

Meanwhile, Solskjaer insisted that the Man United team would play without midfielder Paul Pogba for Saturday's match. Pogba, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka may also be absent.
