Mo Salah and Sadio Mane Called Will Not Win the Golden Ball, Why

Samuel Eto'o said that Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane would never win the Ballon d'Or, at least not this season. He thinks the African players are still underestimated.
The annual prize for the best player on planet Earth will be given to the city of Milan, Italy, for this year's edition. As always, the names of the players who are potential winners are always interesting.

The Ballon d'Or reference is actually quite ambiguous. Sometimes the trophy becomes the main evaluation, sometimes the performance is a year. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have registered for 10 years before finally being broken by Luka Modric in the 2018 edition.

Eto'o thinks that Salah and Mane are worth considering when it comes to trophies and shows. Both helped Liverpool win the Champions League last season and became the top scorer in the Premier League.

Eto'o thinks that both players will not win. He felt that Golden Ball always ignored African players.
"We [African players] are only good for our brothers and sisters, we are not respected," Eto'o told RFI via Metro.
"It's a fact, I hope I'm wrong, but the next winner of the Ballon d'Or can only be Mane or Salah."

Etoo's belief is based on the story of the Golden Balloon. He knew that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were very strong, but for him, Salah and Mane were more extraordinary last season.
"There is no plausible explanation that Mane, Salah or [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, top scorer in the Premier League last season, did not make it into the Top 5 [Gold Ball]," Eto 'o continued.

"Messi and Ronaldo are very strong, but who won the Champions League this year - Mane and Salah," he said.

In fact, the last and only African player to win the Ballon d'Or was George Weah in 1995 after an outstanding performance with PSG and AC Milan.
Since then, no other African player has ever been able to occupy the top 3 in the Ballon d'Or election to date.
