Transfer Neymar Saga to Barcelona Considered an idiot, that's the reason!

The new presidential candidate in Barcelona, Victor Font, deplored the attitude of President Blaugrana, who desperately tried to convince PSG to return Neymar to the transfer market this summer.

Barca's effort to get Neymar is extraordinary. Towards the end of the transfer market, they tried everything to seduce PSG: the "money plus player" program to a loan program with permanent purchase obligations.

However, this transfer effort ultimately failed. PSG requirements are too high, Barcelona is unable to respond and Neymar remains in Paris.

Barca is ridiculous

According to Marca, some Barca fans don't expect Neymar to return, others think Neymar can help them win the Champions League. Even so, Font still doesn't agree.

"This [the Neymar transfer story] is ridiculous," Font said.

"I don't understand what was done, how, or why, I explained last summer that Neymar was just the past and sent him a short-term plan."


Project is not clear

Font believes that the effort to buy Neymar is enough to explain Barcelona's current management mistakes. In addition, Neymar left the club badly two years ago.

"This [Neymar repatriation effort] is another example of the lack of projects within the club. Barca are ready to offer Ousmane Dembele and I don't know who else. This is ridiculous at an institutional level," Font continued.

"Strengthening a team with Neymar and mortgaging the future doesn't make sense."

"And I didn't even discuss the most important part of how Neymar left [2017]: by suing the club," he concluded.
