Messi doesn't know whether Barcelona really tried to reject Neymar

Barcelona's attempt to repatriate Neymar failed. Lionel Messi said he did not know whether Barcelona had used all capacity to move it.

Neymar almost returned to Barcelona in the transfer market last summer. The Brazilian lost contact with Paris Saint-Germain.

But some of the offers given by Barcelona failed to convince PSG. Finally, until the transfer window closes, Neymar goes nowhere and stays at the Parc des Princes.


Asked about the Neymar transfer, Messi said he did not know whether Barcelona had tried hard to make the transfer.

"I don't know if Barca have done everything possible for his return, but it is true that negotiations with PSG are not easy," Messi told Sport.

"I will be happy when Neymar returns, he is one of the best players in the world, and in terms of image and sponsorship, we will take a leap forward that will give us stability."

According to a report, the Barcelona players have asked management to send Neymar to Camp Nou. Messi even urged Barcelona to bring back Neymar.

The news was denied by Messi. The Argentine footballer said that the Barcelona players only gave an opinion on the recruitment of Neymar.

"In the dressing room, we never asked for Neymar's recruitment," Messi said.

"We give opinions, but it is clear that whatever they say, I do not give orders," he said.
