Mauro Icardi officially released Inter Milan to PSG
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi's puzzle of the future has been solved. Icardi officially became a player at the rich French club, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Tuesday (3/9/2019).
"Icardi extended his contract with Inter until 30 June 2022 and simultaneously lent to the PSG club with a full purchase option," said an official statement from Inter Milan.
Earlier, Sky Sports reported that the agent and his wife, Mauro Icardi, were in Paris, France, to discuss the move before closing the summer transfer window.
Icardi's uncertain future has continued since last season. Following a deadlock in negotiations for a new contract which led to the withdrawal of the Icardi captain's armband by former Inter coach Luciano Spalletti.
After the coach's stick was given to Antonio Conte, Icardi's fortune did not improve. Romelu Lukaku's arrival from Manchester United even lost his shirt number to Icardi.
During the Inter Milan defense, Icardi has scored 124 goals since leaving Sampdoria in 2013. Last season, Icardi scored 11 goals in 29 appearances in the Italian League.
