Liverpool Announces 29 Player Names for the Champions League

Liverpool announced 29 players for the Champions League team this season. Surprisingly, Jurgen Klopp included several talented young players in his team.

Jurgen Klopp presents a list of 'team A' and 'B' for the Champions League group stage, where the academy midfielder, Herbie Kane, was included in the list after he was canceled on loan at another club.

The Reds will begin their battle in Europe with an away match with Naples on September 17. Besides meeting with Serie A clubs in Group E, Klopp's team is also a group with Red Bull Salzburg and Genk.

The Reds previously reached the final in a row in the Champions League, and after successfully lifting the trophy in June, Mohamed Salah and his friends became one of the favorite teams in this event. All clubs participating in the Champions League are asked to present their team list this week. Then, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp determined that there were 22 players on List A, while seven other players on List B.

There are some surprising things, although the absence of Ki-Jana Hoever on the list was initially very unexpected. While the inclusion of the name Herbie Kane is considered the most interesting, amid claims that the 20-year-old player can be in line with the role of the first team.

Kane spent last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers. But he was not included in the senior team for the previous preseason, and was initially expected to be loaned out to another club this summer.

Now, Bristol-born players will join Caoimhin Kelleher, Adam Lewis, Yasser Larouci, Curtis Jones and Rhian Brewster on List B, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who still qualifies because he was born after January 1, 1998.

While Alisson and Naby Keita are on List A, they are expected to appear during the group stage later. Klopp's hesitation in discussing the calf injury suffered by Alisson has raised fears that the number one Liverpool goalkeeper might be out longer than expected.
