Leave Arsenal, Nacho Monreal docked to Real Sociedad

Spain's Nacho Monreal has decided to leave Arsenal and play for his club Real Sociedad. 33 years are bound by a two-year contract.
Nacho Monreal has been with Arsenal since 2013. At that time, he came to North London after playing for the Spanish club in Malaga for two years.

For six years, defending the Gunners banner, Monreal was able to show a fairly consistent appearance at the back. He managed to collect 250 appearances in all competitions. Not only that, he also managed to bring Arsenal to three FA Cup titles.

At Real Sociedad, Monreal will have a pretty heavy task. He is responsible for bringing Imanol Alguacil's troops to behave optimally in La Liga this season and for bringing La Real to qualify for European competition next season.

Monreal is the sixth player to land at Anoeta. Previously, they had landed Alexander Isak, Martin Odegaard, Portu, Modibo Sagnan and goalkeeper Alex Remiro.

The presence of five new players does not seem to have a positive impact on Real Sociedad. The reason was that they could only win one victory over the three LaLiga matches they had played.

In the early hours of the morning before, they had to swallow the bitter pill because they suffered the defeat of their eternal rival, Athletic Bilbao at the LaLiga party, entitled Basque Derbi. This defeat requires them to be satisfied in nine places.
