Lazy in pre-season, the Reds are even on fire

Burnley - Liverpool eliminated the first four Premier League matches in August. Juergen Klopp said he was surprised that he could not do it.

But Chris Wood's goal, which cleared Trent Alexander-Arnold's ball in the 33rd minute, made the Liverpool match easier. Four minutes later, Sadio Mane doubled the score to 2-0.

In the second half, Liverpool were more comfortable controlling the game and finally ensuring a 3-0 victory thanks to Roberto Firmino's goal in the 80th minute.

"We performed brilliantly, there was a 50:50 situation because of the long passes, but we first tried to win the ball, we played very well now, everything went well," he said. Klopp, quoted by the BBC.

Four matches, four wins. Liverpool closed the first month of the competition at the top of the Premier League with 12 points and were two points ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

This performance is therefore surprising for Klopp, considering he does not think that Liverpool can do it. In addition, Liverpool did not perform well in preseason with more defeats, such as Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Naples. Liverpool even recorded a record 13 consecutive wins.

"When we came here, I told everyone that we wanted to make our own stories and that was what the players did every week, we had a less friendly pre-season, so I didn't think this would happen in the first four games, "he continued.
