Anger Mane Shows Liverpool's Competitiveness

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson believes Sadio Mane's anger in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Burnley shows the level of competitiveness in the squad. Mane, Liverpool's second goalscorer just before the break, looked annoyed when he was substituted in the 85th minute, gesturing to team-mate Mohamed Salah for not giving him the ball moments before. Henderson and Joe Gomez were among the players who embraced the 27-year-old in an effort to calm him down. "I've seen him a lot (from him). Sadio is fine, he's a good kid," said the England international. "It's just about competitiveness. I think it's important. We all want to do better, we all want to improve and I think we can deal with it." "I'm not sure (what made him angry) to be honest. I couldn't understand at first but then when he came in, he laughed and joked." "The most important thing is we got the results, Sadio knew that. He performed very well again. He had a fantastic game." The win over Burnley was a clinical and professional performance that extended Liverpool's 100 percent record in four matches and ensured Liverpool were two points ahead of Manchester City. "We don't set the results for other people, we set them for ourselves. That's what we want to do," Henderson added. "We want to win every week, we want to play every week and that's difficult because there are so many good teams in the Premier League and in Europe. It's very difficult." "Once again for us, it's match after match. We face a different test every week and it's about giving everything every time we go to the field and we will see where we are at the end of the season."
