Klopp Must Overcome the Selfish Attitudes of His Strikers

Michael Owen said that the selfish attitude of Liverpool players is not a bad thing if successfully controlled well by Jurgen Klopp.
It is undeniable if Liverpool have a trio of reliable attackers. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane became a deadly winger duo supported by the ingenuity of a Roberto Firmino.

But the incident between Mane and Salah occurred at the weekend when Liverpool met Burnley.

Mane was unable to hold back his emotions on the bench after being pulled out of the field in the second half. It turned out that the Senegalese player was emotional because Salah did not pass the ball to him when there was a chance to score better.

Owen himself saw that it was natural and even needed by a team's attack line. There is a figure who likes to divide the ball and ambition to continue to score goals.

"When you see three Liverpool forwards, you have Roberto Firmino, who is perhaps the most unselfish player in the world - he will give [any bait] - so it will be fun to play with him," Owen said to ESPN.

"On the other side of the spectrum, you have Mo Salah, who only focuses on scoring goals and wants to be a goal scorer. You also have Sadio Mane, who sits in between. He likes to score goals and is selfish when needed, but he is also quite generous in his passing, "he said.

"I think you have a good balance there, but the problem just boiled over the previous day," Owen said.
However, Owen said that if balance was needed to sustain the attack line with the ambition to score as big as the two Liverpool players. The situation can get more complicated if both are more concerned with the ego when playing.

"I was on duty [as a pandit] in the [Burnley vs Liverpool] match for television and I said:‘ Did you see that? There were a number of times he [Wrong] should have bait. 'Of course, everyone was surprised and I saw that [the news] came with a lot of focus. These problems occur all the time and it is Jurgen Klopp's job to overcome them. But I think, as a striker, there is balance in everything, "he exclaimed.

"There is definitely one player who is selfless and the other is selfish, otherwise you will never score even once. I am always at my best with Emile Heskey. He is totally selfless and I am so selfish like this and that. "
"But put me in place with another selfish player - another striker who is hungry for goals - and you will not succeed,"
